CORVO is the traditional combat knife of the Chilean army. Its origin is mysterious: it most likely came to the New World with the Spanish conquistadors, who had already appreciated it in the war against the Moors. The knife definitely bears close similarities to the Jambiya, a traditional Arab knife that is still used as a clothing accessory for Yemeni men. The Chilean military combat knife was used in the Pacific War. It was produced in several versions, such as the Distorted CORVO, whose blade bends almost 90°, and the Corvo Atacameño, which is longer but with a gentler blade bend for greater flexibility in use.
