East German army officer's cap cockade badge is an authentic symbol of the military history of the DDR (German Democratic Republic). This badge is made of metal with a wing design and the DDR emblem embedded in the center. Used to decorate officers' uniforms, it symbolizes military honor and service in the East German army. A great collectible or addition to historical reenactments and uniforms.

New (Surplus)

Our condition standards classify "New (Surplus)" as items that have been issued to military personnel but have not been used.

Militaries of many countries issue basic and spare military equipment to their personnel so that soldiers can easily replace damaged or lost equipment during missions.

Since the military replaces/updates issued equipment periodically, every 2-4 years depending on the country, in some cases spare personnel equipment returns to military warehouses unused, but no longer used due to the high standards of the military.

Expected condition:

• Dust marks (Long storage).
• The goods are repackaged in our warehouse.
